- Station set up during WW2. Originally located at Wayside Cottage, High Street. This was handed to county council by NFS in 1948, but non-operational and apparently in a very run-down state – this is stark contrast to 1942 press accounts of a well- equipped station converted from a derelict building, which provided a crew at several notable Herefordshire fires during the war.
